Sick VT180-P410 Photoelectric Proximity Sensor

The photoelectric proximity sensor, also known as a diffuse sensor or optical sensor, with type number VT180-P410 from Sick is an electrical sensor for non-contact object detection. It features a cylindrical housing, an axial optical axis, and an infrared light source. Furthermore, it offers a PNP switching output, light/dark switching, an M12 connector, and IP66 protection. Its dimensions are 1.8 x 1.8 x 8 cm, and it weighs 0.04 kg. Photoelectric proximity sensors detect objects non-contact and precisely by emitting light beams and detecting their reflection or interruption. Typical applications are found in automation technology, for example, for position monitoring of components on conveyor belts or for presence detection in assembly systems.
