IFM E21015 Reflective Tape TS-02/1M

The reflective tape, also known as reflection tape, reflector foil, or retroreflective film, with type number E21015 from IFM, is a reflector for optical sensors in electrical engineering. It is rectangular, made of plastic (acrylic), has the dimensions 50 x 0.04 x 100 cm and weighs 0.023 kg. The film is particularly suitable for red light and infrared retro-reflective sensors. It continuously withstands ambient temperatures from -25 to 65 °C, with a short-term resistance up to 80 °C for 30 minutes. The optimal bonding temperature is between 16 and 25 °C. Such reflective tapes enable precise object detection over longer distances, even with difficult surfaces, by effectively reflecting light rays back to a sensor. Typical applications include automation technology for position detection of workpieces and in logistics for monitoring conveyor belts or counting objects.
