De diffuse reflectiesensor met achtergrondonderdrukking van IFM Electronic, ook bekend als reflectiesensor, opto-elektronische sensor of foto-elektrische sensor, met typenummer OG5053 is een elektrische foto-elektrische sensor die objecten betrouwbaar detecteert door lichtreflectie en daarbij verstoringen door de achtergrond elimineert. Het apparaat heeft de afmetingen 2 x 2 x 7 cm en weegt 0.04 kg. Diffuse reflectiesensoren met achtergrondonderdrukking worden gebruikt om objecten nauwkeurig te detecteren, ongeacht hun kleur of de reflectiviteit van de achtergrond, door alleen lichtreflecties binnen een specifiek bereik te evalueren. Typische toepassingen zijn te vinden in industriële automatisering voor positiedetectie, in materiaalstroomsystemen voor objecttelling en in verpakkings- en montagelijnen voor aanwezigheidscontrole.
