De inductieve sensor, ook bekend als inductieve benaderingsschakelaar, metaalsensor of contactloze positieschakelaar, van IFM Electronic met typenummer IEB3002BBPKG/AS is een elektrische sensor voor de contactloze detectie van metalen objecten. Het apparaat met M8 x 1 schroefdraad, 50 mm lengte en 2 mm schakelafstand is vlak inbouwbaar en beschikt over een PNP-schakelcontact voor gelijkspanning, waarvan de uitgang in rusttoestand gesloten is. Het biedt de beschermingsklassen IP65 en IP67. Het heeft de afmetingen 0.8 x 3 x 5 cm en weegt 0.2 kg. Inductieve sensoren dienen voor nauwkeurige positiedetectie en aanwezigheidscontrole van metalen onderdelen in geautomatiseerde processen en worden gebruikt voor het aansturen van machinefuncties of voor teltaken.
