De Infrarood Positiesensor, ook bekend als IR-sensor, optische positiesensor of afstandssensor, van Erhardt + Leimer met typenummer FR-5001 is een optische sensor voor positiedetectie. Hij heeft de afmetingen 11 x 6 x 5 cm en weegt 0.3 kg. Infrarood positiesensoren detecteren contactloos de positie van objecten door middel van infraroodstraling.
