De infraroodsensor, ook bekend als IR-sensor, thermische sensor of IR-detector, met typenummer FR 5001 van Erhard+Leimer is een elektrische sensor voor contactloze detectie van infraroodstraling. Het heeft de afmetingen 15 x 15 x 10 cm en weegt 0.4 kg. Infraroodsensoren worden in de automatiseringstechniek gebruikt voor aanwezigheidsdetectie en objectpositionering. Daarnaast vinden ze toepassing in industriële meettechniek voor contactloze temperatuurmeting van oppervlakken.
